Emery County’s travel board approved multiple marketing and procurement items during its May 13 meeting, including a small annual contract with a state travel‑planning partner, a draft RFQ for creative services, the EventMe/Aventi event management subscription and billboard production for Green River.
After a presentation from a Go Utah representative, the board moved to approve a 12‑month lead‑generation and email fulfillment service for $2,295. Board members discussed service coverage and the weekly lead delivery process; the motion passed on a roll‑call vote with members present voting in the affirmative.
The board also approved a draft RFQ for video and photography services designed to allow selection of multiple vendors for county projects. The RFQ sets a $7,500 cap for the year, allows the county to create a three‑year candidate pool and will proceed to the county attorney and the commission for final approval before advertisement.
Robin (the board’s events representative) described the benefits of EventMe/Aventi for ticketing, vendor management and event administration and recommended renewing the annual subscription; the board approved the renewal (annual cost presented as about $2,880).
Staff presented a quote and two design concepts to reskin Green River’s three city‑owned billboards; the board approved proceeding with production and installation. Staff said Green River city will have final approval under the MOU for copy and artwork on those boards.
Board members also discussed planning for the Utah Office of Tourism co‑op grant (deadline in June), agreed staff will develop a consolidated ask that could include event marketing and other priorities, and reviewed event, trails and museum updates. No contested motions or formal dissents were recorded on the procurement votes.
