"There needs to be cameras in all self contained classrooms across the board, across the district," Moore said. She also asked for a policy "to be put in black and white for if there is an accused teacher for them to be removed from the classroom until the investigation is complete instead of based on the merit of the claim." Moore framed her request as a protection for students with disabilities and other vulnerable learners.
Board president reminded speakers that the Texas Open Meetings Act forbids trustees from discussing matters not on the agenda during public comment, and board members did not take action on Moore's request during the meeting. The board accepted public comment under its stated rules and moved on to the agenda.
