The Canal Winchester Landmarks Commission on April 27 approved application CA26010 to replace the front and kitchen doors at 153 Washington Street.
Staff said the proposal would install a ProVia fiberglass front door with a textured wood finish and a steel side kitchen door; the project also adds a fixed transom above the side door but does not change door sizes. Commissioners asked about the transom (the applicant confirmed it will be fixed, not operable), whether the divided lights are true divided lights, and about color matching with existing windows; the applicant said the side door would match the windows and that the front door color is an espresso/ oak-green finish sample provided.
A motion to approve the application as stated was moved and seconded; the roll-call vote recorded six yes votes and no opposition.
