Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles denies multiple paroles, grants several pardons and conditional paroles on May 7 meeting

The board also granted pardons and paroles. The minutes show full pardons restoring civil and political rights for multiple applicants, including Billy R. Perry Jr., Anthony T. Long and James W. May. Powell and Jeffrey M. Martin. Several paroles were granted with supervision conditions such as GPS ankle monitors, completion of reentry programming (Perry County PREP), participation in NA/AA and required drug assessments, placement in day reporting centers (Tuscaloosa and Baldwin county DRCs) or approved halfway houses (examples: James P. Martin AIS# 213477; Samuel J. Ronquille AIS# 292943; Christopher S. Scarborough AIS# 243379).
One case on the docket was reopened for additional testimony: Darryl Littleton moved to reopen the case of Milton Pritchett (AIS# 157733) at 10:23 a.m.; after additional testimony the board voted to grant parole subject to completion of the Perry County Probation/Parole Reentry Education Program (PREP), GPS ankle monitoring, NA/AA participation and a drug assessment.
The board reviewed administrative files for potential revocations and delinquent parolee lists as part of its routine administrative business.
