The Murfreesboro Golf Commission reviewed its 2026 tournament calendar and junior programming at the December meeting.
Trey said the schedule includes Tennessee PGA events, PGA Pro-Am Series qualifiers, USGA local qualifiers penciled for July and a club championship likely in August. He told commissioners the banquet is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Jan. 16 at the airport and that Al Lane will cater the event.
Staff outlined junior programming plans: two PGA work sessions, spring and fall sessions, SNAG for very young children and spring linksters, with registration opening March 7. "We got a lot of other things that are not listed here, but those are just kind of some of the highlights," Trey said.
Trey said events typically bring residual rounds and spectator cards and can be revenue-generating for the course. Commissioners did not take formal votes on programming; the calendar and registration timeline were presented for planning and operational scheduling.
The commission also noted coordination with other local courses for multi-round events and said staff will finalize dates and formats in the coming months.
