Committee recommends Budget Amendment No. 3, schedules water/sewer capital session

Ms. Holden said Budget Amendment No. 3 was previously presented at a work session and includes additional capital-line adjustments to align budgets with current contracted amounts. She cited examples such as the police headquarters and Fire Station 4 where line items were being updated to reflect remaining contracted spending: "Really, the main spirit with the capital, line items is cleaning those budgets up to current contracted amounts, okay?" she said.
A motion to recommend favorable approval of the amendment was made and seconded; the committee approved the recommendation 3–0 and will forward the amendment to the Board for final action.
On water and sewer capital improvements, Ms. Holden said the item will be a standing topic. Because a key staff member (Mr. Allen) was out sick and planning was limited, staff scheduled a special fifth‑Monday work session at month‑end for a full presentation to the full Board so members can review project forecasts, capital needs and timing.
