The Maury County Board of Education approved two upcoming school-year calendars and a grouped set of financial policies during its Dec. 2 meeting.
Miss Stevenson moved to approve both proposed calendars (for 2026–27 and 2027–28) and Miss Dawson seconded; the board voted with the chair noting the motion had passed. The calendars were approved as presented.
Later in the meeting Mr. McGee moved and Mr. Martin seconded a motion to approve a set of financial policies together — policy 2.201; 2.202; 2.403; 2.702; 2.805; 2.806; 2.808; and 2.901. The board voted and the chair announced the grouped policies passed; the transcript does not include a roll-call tally or recorded dissent.
The board then reviewed FYI items, announced a Dec. 16 work session at 6 p.m., and adjourned by voice vote.
