HCEA representative outlines teacher polling plan for PECCA collaboration, proposes Jan. 5 voting window

The HCEA representative said they will distribute flyers and cards in December, arrange for polling at faculty meetings and keep a polling window open that evening for late voters. "We would like to hold the polling on January 5 when we come back," the representative said, adding that a special questions committee will meet to count votes and that TEA representatives may visit schools that did not participate in the initial round.
Board members acknowledged the plan and had no objections on the record. The representative said the committee will share the results and schedule the counting once polling concludes.
