Collin County Commissioners unanimously approved a $2 million budget amendment reallocating bond funds to courthouse expansion and a parking garage.
County staff explained the amendment moves $1,500,000 to the courthouse expansion project and $500,000 to the parking garage from an existing 2023 bond fund line. “This $2,000,000 budget adjustment is moving money from the 2023 bond fund line to the various project codes for the courthouse expansion and parking garage,” Mr. Kim explained to the court.
A motion to approve the amendment was made and seconded; the court voted 5–0 to approve the reallocation. Staff and commissioners said they appreciate the work done on the projects and confirmed no additional public hearing or action was required at the meeting.
