FAYETTE COUNTY, Tenn. — At the Oct. 2 meeting the Fayette County Public Schools superintendent reported district training and compliance activities, and shared recent health‑inspection results.
The district has launched a Principals Academy, led by Ms. Breeden and Dr. Ford, to build leadership skills among principals and assistant principals; Jefferson will be featured next month. The annual report to the Department of Justice and the LDF is on track for submission by Oct. 15, with site visits scheduled for Oct. 20–21.
In Food Service, the district held a "meatloaf challenge" to encourage excellence. Health inspection scores were perfect at Buckley Carpenter Elementary, East Junior and Fayette‑Ware High School; LaGrange Moscow, Southwest and West Junior scored 99.
The superintendent also reminded teachers that Oct. 10 is a professional development day, coinciding with Fayette‑Ware Homecoming.
