Brian Webb (calling in) identified himself as EMS administrator for Kendall County and thanked the court for its support, saying he had "my trust in Shelley and Lacey and everything they've done for me and the court." A former assistant administrator, Leslie Hernandez, who identified herself and noted relevant regulation, recommended notifying the Department of State Health Services and cited EMS rule 157.11, explaining that changes in administration typically require notification timelines and succession planning.
Commissioners and EMS staff discussed operational realities: captains run A/B/C shifts and carry whole blood and radios, and removing a captain from a truck to serve full‑time in the office can affect overtime, hourly pay and coverage. The court said it would work to ensure the interim assignment does not reduce personal pay for the appointed captain.
Teresa called the roll on the motion; Commissioners McCall, Wiesgen and Carpenter and Judge Pro Tem Chapman voted "Aye," the motion carried 4–0, and Judge Talarsik was recorded absent. The chair amended the motion to permit the judge or interim administrator to sign the order notifying the Department of State Health Services; Lisa was assigned to handle that notification for the court.
The court adjourned at 1:55 p.m.
