Fayette County outlines use of remaining CTE Instructional Supply funds, budget amendment planned

Dr. McPherson told the Education, Sports and CTE Committee that the district has about $600,000 in remaining CTE Instructional Supply Money (ISM) to use this year and next. He said the funds will support innovations in middle- and high-school Career and Technical Education programs and that the district is working with consultants — including retired superintendents — to evaluate improvements and strengthen partnerships with TCAT.
Dr. McPherson said the district intends to maximize available funds despite budget constraints and plans to present a budget amendment in April outlining specific uses. Chairman Warner Speakman described the grant as “an important tool in advancing the board’s vision for CTE programs.”
No formal vote was taken at the committee meeting on the ISM expenditure plan; the budget amendment will return to the board for action once staff develop specific allocations.
