Ware County approves three‑year Coca‑Cola Bottling Company contract for recreation department

The Ware County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday to approve a three‑year contract with Coca‑Cola Bottling Company to supply beverages for the county’s recreation department.

The contract was presented as a follow‑up to a prior approval of the bid; the commissioner presenting the item said a single bid had been received and opened. "The bid for the beverages for the recreation department was received and opened," the presenter said.

A motion to approve the three‑year contract was made on the floor and seconded. One commissioner moved to "accept the 3 year debit contract with Coca Cola as stated and written out in the proposal," and the board proceeded to a roll‑call vote. Commissioners listed on the record — "Mister Burce," "Mister Tindle," "Mister Lucas" and "Mister Copp" — were each recorded as voting "Aye," followed by the chair’s aye, and the measure passed.
