Mr. Drew Hardy of the Chattanooga Aquarium presented ideas to the Bledsoe County Board of Education on Oct. 13, 2025 for using the property and creek behind Pikeville Elementary. Hardy said the Aquarium would like to work with the schools on projects involving the site.
Board member Don Snow asked that staff reach out to contractor J.C. Rains to assist with the proposed projects. The board did not take immediate action on the proposal and tabled further consideration until the November meeting.
The presentation was recorded in the minutes and no vote or formal agreement with the Aquarium was made at the Oct. 13 meeting. The minutes show the board intends to revisit the item at its November meeting, at which time the board may consider staff recommendations or formal proposals.
