Bledsoe County Board approves financial reports and budget amendments

The Bledsoe County Board of Education unanimously approved monthly and quarterly financial reports for the month ending Sept. 30, 2025, during its Nov. 3, 2025 regular meeting at Bledsoe County High School.
Finance Director Kara Walling presented the reports and asked the board to accept them. The motion to approve the monthly report was made by Don Snow and seconded by Bron Reece; the motion passed on a unanimous vote. A separate motion to approve the quarterly report was made by Steve Perry, seconded by Bron Reece, and also passed unanimously.
The board also approved two budget amendments. Fund 141 — Amendment #8 was listed as “FRCX Donations from Fund Balance from FY25 – Unspent Funds.” Fund 143 — Amendment #1 was described as a plan to spend down that fund's balance. Bron Reece moved to approve the amendments; Jacob Frady seconded the motion, and the board voted unanimously to adopt them.
Board members recorded their votes individually in the minutes: Andy Billingsley, Timothy Churches, Jacob Frady, Carolyn Oakes, Steve Perry, Bron Reece and Don Snow all voted to approve the reports and amendments.
The approvals complete routine fiscal oversight for the district through the end of the September reporting period; the minutes do not list dollar totals for the amendments beyond the fund identifiers.
