Athens City Board approves 2026–2027 academic calendar; routine business passes

The Calendar Committee recommended the 2026–2027 academic calendar, and Stan Harrison moved to approve it. Emily Forrest seconded and the motion carried. Chair Adams recognized former board member Abby Carroll for eight years of service to the Athens City Board of Education and Athens City Schools. Adams also introduced district staff and guests in attendance.
