Callahan County Commissioners Court handled a series of routine administrative and fiscal items on March 9 and recorded unanimous or uncontested approvals on several motions.
The court approved prior meeting minutes and the consent agenda covering approved bills and payroll for the period ending Feb. 26. The sheriff's report (inmate counts, overtime and staffing) was presented and the court voted to accept the report.
Other approved items included a monthly invoice from Komatsu, a contract to provide ADA election equipment to Baird ISD for a May 2 election (paper ballots to be used for other voters), purchase and financing approvals for 2027 Mac MD7 trucks and tanks for listed precincts (financing discussed at roughly a 5.04% interest rate), and the addition of Sherry Pruitt from the tax office to the employee-handbook review committee. A motion to adjourn passed and the meeting ended at 10:06.
Votes and motions were recorded on the meeting record and the clerk announced each motion passed with no opposition where noted.
