Vernon County HR reports online open enrollment, hiring activity and clinic balance

County Human Resources updated the General Government Committee on the HRIS implementation and recent staffing activity at the Dec. 3 meeting.
The department said implementation of the new HRIS is ongoing; the county completed its first online open enrollment period, which ended Nov. 17. To ensure payroll accuracy during the transition the county ran dual timekeeping. HR reported three exit interviews and two workers' compensation claims since the last meeting, and that it processed 85 job applications and conducted seven interviews. Since the last meeting HR recorded three new hires, one transfer and one separation, putting the county’s current employee count at 285.
The committee was also told the Neighborhood Clinic’s balance was $59,506 as of October invoices. The meeting included a reminder from County Clerk J. Pedretti that nomination papers are being filed and are due Jan. 6 at 5:00 p.m.
No committee action was taken on HR items at the meeting; the report was received and placed on file.
