Vernon County Board of Health approves Narcan and nitrate policies; hears measles and vector-control updates

Vernon County Board of Health members met Feb. 11 in the Vernon County Board Room and voted unanimously to approve a Narcan Administration and Distribution Policy, a nitrate lab policy and an agent-licensing application.
The board opened at 1 p.m.; David Eggen called the meeting to order and members approved the minutes from January on a motion by Martha Olson and a second from Eggen.
Coroner Betty Nigh reported January activity: 32 deaths, including 20 cremations, 11 burials and one green burial; she said 91% of those were coroner cases. Nigh reviewed monthly coroner income of $2,044.00 and expenses totaling $2,560.03.
