The Brown County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved two contracts during its March 18 meeting. Commissioner Barry Woodruff moved to enter a contract with the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) Service Corporation, based at 209 East State Street, Columbus, to join the CCAO Group Rating Plan intended to lower workers' compensation rates and promote workplace safety; Commissioner Gordon Ellis seconded and the motion passed on roll-call vote.
The Board also approved a contract, moved by Mr. Ellis and seconded by Mr. Woodruff, with StepMobile, doing business as ezJustice (70 W. 4th Street, Mansfield, Ohio), to provide PayArc payment facilitation so the Common Pleas Court can accept credit-card payments through an online portal. Both motions were approved unanimously.
The minutes record the vendors' names and addresses and the Board's votes but do not list the contract amounts or implementation timelines; staff will handle the contract execution and administration.
