The board then adopted Resolution 26042 by voice vote, 3–0.
Brewer next presented Resolution 26043, which would authorize a $20,000 matching contribution to support Boulder County’s Clean Transit Enterprise grant application for 2027 transit service. He noted the match is contingent on Boulder County winning the grant; if awarded, the funding would help continue the third day of service and expand the route to include stops at the Gilpin County Library and Community Center.
Commissioners discussed making the transit partnership sustainable and noted the county may consider additional funding in the 2027 budget. The board approved Resolution 26043, authorizing the county manager to negotiate and execute the intergovernmental agreement, by unanimous voice vote, 3–0.
The county manager and staff said the match and contribution aim to improve access to jobs and regional connections for Gilpin County residents, and that future budget cycles will consider ongoing support if the expanded service continues.
Outcome: Both resolutions were adopted 3–0. Resolution 26043’s $20,000 commitment is contingent on Boulder County obtaining the Clean Transit Enterprise grant.
