The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles considered a docket of parole and pardon requests at its Oct. 30, 2025 open meeting in Montgomery and issued a mix of denials, reset dates and approvals.
The Board denied parole for multiple individuals, often recording either no reset date or a specified reset date (examples recorded in the minutes include Dante D. Jackson denied with no reset date; Regina Hunter denied with a reset date of Oct. 2030; Cornelius Fenderson denied with reset Oct. 2030). Several denials with reset dates of Oct. 2026, Oct. 2028 and Oct. 2029 also appear in the docket.

A small number of parole grants carried specific reentry and supervision conditions. Notably, the Board granted parole to Willie E. Martin (AIS# 282584) with special conditions that include completion of the Perry County Probation/Parole Reentry Education Program (PREP), GPS ankle monitor, mental health follow-up and a drug assessment upon release. Lawreen King (AIS# 249179) received a parole grant with similar conditions, and Tracy R. Thomas (AIS# 199147) was granted parole with requirements including NA/AA, GPS monitoring, drug assessment and a directive to seek employment. Travis L. Sessions (AIS# 243568) was granted parole with a reset date listed as June 2026.
Speakers for and against parole or pardon petitions included family members, attorneys and victim advocates. Ky' Toria Lawson (identified in the minutes with the organization VOCAL) and Jackie Fowler (listed with the Attorney General's Office as VSO) are repeatedly recorded among those speaking against parole requests in victim-impact or advocacy roles.
The Board recorded its votes in the docket entries; the meeting materials and minute entries attached to the agenda list each case and the Board’s action. The Board adjourned at 12:32 p.m.; its next open meeting is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2025.
