On personnel, Commissioner Tony Smith nominated Paige Beech to fill the county’s Property Assessor vacancy until the next election. With no other nominations, Greg Vick called the question and the board affirmed Beech by roll call vote, 17 Ayes, 0 Noes. The minutes record Drew Hooker as absent; 17 commissioners were present.
The board also elected a slate of notaries submitted by the Rules & Legislative Committee. The roster of notaries was placed on the record and approved by voice vote on a motion by Greg Vick, seconded by Anita Epperson.
Chairman Chad Graham called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Bedford County Historic Courthouse courtroom in Shelbyville. County Clerk Donna Thomas performed roll call and attested the minutes; the meeting adjourned at 7:11 p.m.
