Perquimans County approves $25,000 purchase of New Hope Convenience Site to secure solid-waste service

Commissioner Timothy J. Corprew said he agreed with the purchase and asked whether the county could seek a first right of refusal if the property or building is listed for sale in the future. Heath replied the motion was not being made contingent on a right of refusal but that the county could inquire with the Ruritan Club separately.
Kathryn M. Treiber moved to approve the purchase; James W. Ward seconded the motion, which the Board approved unanimously.
