The School Board of the Oregon School District approved its Feb. 23 agenda and the Consent Calendar, which included $612,046.56 in payments, the treasurer’s report and several personnel updates.
Dr. Mary Lokuta moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Nathan Hensal seconded; the board approved the agenda by a 6-0 roll call. Ms. Ahna Bizjak moved to approve the Consent Calendar and Dr. Lokuta seconded. The minutes record the subsequent roll call vote approving the consent items 6-0.
Consent items included approval of the Feb. 9 regular and closed session meeting minutes; the Treasurer’s Report ending Jan. 31, 2026; and staff resignations and retirement notices. Notable personnel items were the retirement of Julie Mandli, 1.0 FTE physical therapist, effective Feb. 13, 2026 after nine years of service; the resignation of Courtney Schuetz, 1.0 FTE fourth-grade teacher at PVE effective March 20, 2026; and the resignation of Gina Sylvester, .4 occupational therapist, effective June 30, 2026.
The board also accepted several donations to district programs, including equipment and financial gifts: 1,000 orange lanyards from Jess O’Dell; financial donations to food service balances from Jill Adams ($100), Elena Schinderle ($5) and Kelly Milewski ($50); contributions of $500 each from Omni Technologies LLC and Milwaukee School of Engineering to the OHS Robotics Club; $3,500 from Oregon Youth Football for OHS football coaches; and Oregon-branded clothing from Willa Panzer for the OMS Care Closet.
The board congratulated Julie Mandli on her retirement. The meeting proceeded to information and discussion items following the consent actions.
