Resident urges clearer snow-removal enforcement, cites blocked handicapped spaces

Dwight Bundle, a 40-year Romeoville resident, urged the board to clarify and enforce village rules for snow removal that protect accessible parking.
"Snowplows take the snow and are piling into handicapped parking spots," Bundle said during public comment, adding that he has had trouble learning which department enforces violations because one office tells him it is another. He said he has seen officers take notes on patrol but little apparent follow-up: "It's confusing why these officers are patrolling a lot, can't take notes and hand these in at the end of their shift so somebody else can follow-up."
Bundle also described vehicles left on posted no-parking arterial streets during storms and suggested reintroducing seasonal odd/even parking or other measures to remove abandoned cars that impede plowing. He said the changes are intended to preserve residents' quality of life and ensure access for people with disabilities.
The board did not take immediate action during the meeting; the comment was recorded during the public-comment period and may prompt staff follow-up under the village's established enforcement processes.
