Chris Wertheim, who briefed the committee, said the city has an active purchase agreement under review with a nonprofit partner and that the council has asked both finalist teams to present to the council in April. “We got an actual purchase agreement a couple of weeks ago. That’s under review,” Wertheim said, describing the next steps: legal review and an April executive session for council negotiation. He said council will then decide whether to approve the sale or reject it.
