Belvidere committee approves annexation agreement, motion to annex 5147 Chrysler Drive

"The applicant's representative is here," Del Rose said during her summary. Staff recommended approving an annexation agreement between the City of Belvidere and Joshua Robertson and then annexing the territory at 5147 Chrysler Drive. The committee took two motions: first to approve the annexation agreement, then to annex the territory. Both motions passed without recorded opposition; Del Rose said final adoption will come back as ordinances to the full council, with the annexation final vote scheduled for Oct. 6.
Councilors asked about the timeline for connection and learned that the property's connection fees are paid and the owner will hire a contractor to perform the installation; staff indicated the work should proceed promptly because the septic system failed.
