Finance Committee approves promotion of Finance Manager Bobbi Johnson to Finance Director

Chair Rod Ofte introduced the proposal and provided background on the process. Mary Meehan-Strub asked why the position was placed at grade U; HR Director Trisha Lepke said a wage study consultant had recommended that grade. Jill Bender asked how the change would affect organizational structure; Rod said the position would continue to report to the County Administrative Coordinator and staff would report to the finance director.
An amended motion to promote Bobbi Johnson to Finance Director, grade U step 1, effective June 12, was made by Mary Meehan-Strub, seconded by Kelli Mitchell, and passed 3-0-0 with two members absent. The committee asked that organizational structure concerns be addressed with General Government.
