Board approves FY25 state-category transfers after brief debate

Ms. Judd told the board the district had an unexpected electricity bill that required an additional $675,000 in the electricity category and that the state does not allow the district to overspend budget categories. She noted there was urgency to approve the transfers so the county council could act and the district could finalize its audit.
A motion to approve the transfer was made and seconded; the transcript records the motion passing on roll call. The board approved remaining consent items and returned to the full agenda.
