At its Oct. 28 meeting, the Village of Broadview board approved expenditures totaling $1,013,104.09, authorized a purchase order of $11,200 for Deputy Chief Johnson to attend a police executive forum, and adopted a consent agenda that included an ordinance first-amending the purchase agreement for property at 1426 Roosevelt Road.
Clerk Clark read the warrant list for the period ending Oct. 28, noting vendor payments including Broadview Westchester Joint Water Agency ($344,560.04), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois ($170,792.41), Everlast Blacktop Inc. ($287,233.96) and other vendors. Trustee Shelby read itemized vendors and fund allocations; the board approved payment of the bills by roll call, carrying 4–0 (two trustees absent for the vote on the bills).
The board considered and approved an application to expend $11,200 for a Purchase Order (COSMIP) to cover Deputy Chief Johnson's attendance at a 2026 police executive research forum; Trustee Senior moved and Trustee Shelby seconded the motion, which carried 4–0 by roll call.
Clerk Clark read into the record seven consent-agenda items. The board first established the consent agenda with the explicit exclusion of item 4 (an appointment to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners); the motion to establish the consent agenda with that exception passed 5–0. The board then approved the consent agenda as constituted (excepting item 4) by a 5–0 roll-call vote. Subsequent to that approval, the board voted 5–0 to table item 4 (the appointment) when it was taken up separately.
One consent-agenda item of particular public interest was referenced by a resident during public comment: the ordinance authorizing a first amendment to the agreement of purchase and sale for property located at 1426 Roosevelt Road, identified in the reading as a purchase involving Intelligent Digital Holdings LLC. A commenter asked how the village would account for proceeds or value returned to municipal funds for that property; the mayor and board did not provide additional financial detail during the meeting beyond the consent-agenda approval. Angela Patterson raised additional governance questions and alleged payments tied to the mayor's business and to a mayoral relative; the mayor disputed those characterizations during her report.
No further budget or contract amendments were made at the meeting. The board adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
