Judge Hayward imposes short jail terms and probation conditions in Clayton County State Court arraignment calendar

Judge Tammy Long Hayward presided over the Clayton County State Court jail and arraignment calendar on March 24, 2026, in Courtroom 304, imposing short jail sentences and probation conditions in several revocation and trespass cases.

The judge revoked 120 days of probation for Oland McGee after the probation office alleged a new arrest on March 16, 2026, failure to avoid contact with the victim and missing required classes and fees. "120 days seems right," the judge said after hearing probation's recommendation; she ordered credit for time served and suspended the balance on standard conditions, including no contact with the identified victim.

In a separate revocation hearing for Derek Raymond Epps (case 2022CR01919), defense counsel explained the defendant has seizure-related medical issues and has been hospitalized; the defendant told the court he has been trying to obtain disability paperwork and medical notes. The judge said probationers must provide documentation and imposed a 45-day jail sanction with credit for time served, directing counsel and probation to make sure any medical restrictions are documented for the record.

The court accepted a no-contest plea from Jamir Alonzo to criminal trespass (case 2026CR03825). The state's factual basis described repeated unauthorized returns to Hartsfield—Jackson Atlanta International Airport after a prior criminal trespass warning. The judge sentenced Alonzo to 12 months, to serve 20 days with credit for time served, and suspended the balance conditioned on staying away from the airport during the sentence.

Kenneth Kushi Pack pleaded guilty to airport- and transit-related trespass counts (cases 2026CR01216 and 2026CR03833). The court ordered concurrent 12-month sentences with 45 days to serve, credit for time already served, and conditions barring return to the airport and observance of an existing MARTA ban.

Vince Lamar Arnold pleaded guilty to a simple battery count in a co-defendant matter (2023CR01176); the court declined to prosecute an associated obstruction count, accepted the plea and sentenced Arnold to 12 months with 25 days to serve (credit for time served). The court also ordered no contact with the victim, Brianna Daniels.

On a probation petition for Theresa Huff (2022CR06290), the court addressed missed community service, a positive alcohol metabolite test and missed support-group meetings. Probation reported an ethyl glucuronide (EtG) level "over 10,000 nanograms per milliliter"; the officer noted the test cutoff was 25 ng/mL. Huff disputed one positive test and suggested mouthwash use; the judge rejected that explanation, directed Huff to obtain a new evaluation by March 31 and to provide documentation of treatment and support-group attendance, and revoked six days with credit for time served before returning her to probation. The judge set a probation reporting date of Thursday, March 26 at 9 a.m.

Several routine administrative and calendar matters followed: counsel conferred in a breakout on a conflict-of-counsel issue, the court noted a bench warrant would remain in place for a defendant who missed court because of chemotherapy, and parties were advised of upcoming trial calendar timing.

The court's orders were delivered from the bench and reflect the outcomes announced in open session; where the court suspended balances it conditioned that suspension on compliance with the no-contact and location restrictions it described.
