A representative of the Hidden Valley/Homeowners Association told commissioners the HOA had found plat maps and a signed resolution from the 1980s indicating the subdivision roads were dedicated and should be county-maintained.
The resident said the HOA had treated the roads for years but that archival documents showed the roads were accepted as public and therefore fall under county maintenance. Commissioners said they would not vote at this briefing but agreed to have the grader operator perform an assessment and to review documentation before placing the matter on a future agenda for formal action.
One commissioner asked staff to coordinate a field assessment so the commission would have a condition report and a recommendation; staff agreed to perform that assessment and follow up. No formal acceptance vote occurred at the session.
