Commissioners said they want the work done to last 50–60 years and discussed timing to avoid higher costs if delayed.
A commissioner moved to put the project out to bid so the county can develop budget estimates and proceed; the motion passed by voice vote. Cromwell said the project will be advertised and drawings placed on montanabit.com, and bidders will be invited to a pre-bid walkthrough.
