Cook County rules committee opens with condolences for late Commissioner Dennis Dear’s family; approves minutes and adjourns

Chairman Daley moved to approve item 26-1127, the journal proceedings for the consent calendar meeting held on March 12, 2026, seconded by Commissioner Shawn Morrison; the motion was approved by voice vote.

After the approvals, Chairman Daley asked that Commissioner Degnan be added to the roll and to all affirmative votes to correct the attendance record. With no further business, Commissioner Britton moved to adjourn. The transcript initially recorded Commissioner Stamps as the second, but a committee member noted that Stamps is not on the committee and the second was revised to Commissioner Scott. The chair declared the meeting adjourned.
