Nina Buelna of Goleta Public Works invited residents to a community “Street Talk” workshop on Wednesday, April 22, saying the session will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Goleta Community Center.
Buelna said the workshop is for anyone who bikes, drives or walks in Goleta and that feedback collected there will help the city better understand residents’ transportation preferences and priorities. "Bike it, drive it, walk it. Now shape it," she said.
City staff presented the event as an opportunity for the public to weigh in on local transportation planning and priorities; the announcement included no formal proposals, motions or votes. Officials encouraged broad participation from people who use different modes of travel and said they look forward to seeing attendees at the Goleta Community Center (GCC).
