Mr. Powell presented the proposal and noted a map was included in the packet; council members cited the upcoming June 16 FIFA watch party at Park Place as a reason to have the ordinance in place for summer events. Council member Larson moved to approve the ordinance; the meeting proceeded to a required roll-call vote for ordinance adoption. The clerk recorded seven votes in favor with one member absent; Mayor Elkins declared the ordinance adopted.
No amendments to hours, enforcement details or permit fees were recorded during the meeting discussion; staff indicated standard enforcement and licensing would apply as the city issues and administers the permit.
