Belgrade senior center reports new van, emergency food-kit plan and holiday programs

Lisa discussed program developments: a new ballet/balance fitness class, a slowly growing chess club to be run by member John Vann, and an evolving plan for a facility therapy dog (Remi) with constraints if the animal were certified as a service dog. She said Carol will host a Medicare and prescription-plan workshop Nov. 7 and will meet individually with attendees who need help.
The board also discussed a wreath-making offering from Cashman nursery priced at roughly $20 per participant to cover materials and instruction; members agreed to advertise the opportunity and gauge interest.
