The Pearl River County Board of Supervisors voted to close and enter executive session twice during its March 2 meeting under the authority of Mississippi Code 25‑41‑7. The morning session began with a motion to close at 10:45 a.m., proceeded into discussion of personnel matters, strategy sessions or negotiations related to litigation, and matters regarding location, relocation or expansion of a business or industry; the Board returned to open session at 12:10 p.m. and recorded that no action was taken during the executive session.
Following a lunch recess, the Board again closed and entered executive session at 2:00 p.m. under the same statutory provisions; the Board returned to regular session at 4:30 p.m., again noting no action was taken in the closed session.
The Board also approved a motion directing the County Administrator to post notice of the recess meeting within one hour and recessed until the next scheduled meeting at 9:00 a.m. on March 18, 2026, in the Board meeting room at 109 W Pearl St., Poplarville.
