The Juniata County Commissioners on April 7 unanimously approved a series of routine actions, including the sale of a county repository parcel, a conflict-counsel contract for the Public Defender’s Office, acceptance of a resignation and payment of two checklists.
Minutes and motions: Chairperson Alice Gray called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. and the board approved the Feb. 10, 2026 minutes on a motion by Gray, seconded by Mark Partner. All motions recorded during the meeting were carried unanimously.
Repository bid: Commissioners approved a repository bid submitted by Jill R. Hildebrand for $899.94 for a land-only property in Walker Township (Parcel #17.06 017.000). The owner of record listed in the minutes is Stanley Barner and Lillian M. Barner; the situs address is Route 333, Port Royal, PA 17082. The motion was moved by Todd A. Graybill and seconded by Mark R. Partner.
Conflict-counsel contract: The board approved a purchase-of-service contract between the Juniata County Public Defender’s Office and Brittany Shetter, Esquire, for conflict-counsel services.
