Juniata County ratifies payments, grants and youth center agreement; fiscal checks approved

At its April 28 meeting the Juniata County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a package of consent items and fiscal ratifications. The board ratified Hazardous Materials check #1486 to Lake Ford for $408.60 and ratified CDBG-IDIS check #1370 to Mid Atlantic Storage Systems, Inc. for $172,279.00 as submitted by the Planning and Community Development Department. The board also approved payment of checks as submitted by the Fiscal Office and reviewed the March departmental report from Juniata County Children & Youth.
Commissioner Partner moved and Commissioner Graybill seconded ratification of Year 4 of the Indigent Defense Grant for the term July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027; Melissa Stewart of Mifflin Juniata Human Services presented that item and the motion carried unanimously. The board also approved a Space Available Agreement between Juniata County Children & Youth Services and Central Counties Youth Center for the term July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027.
All consent motions were carried without recorded opposition. The board adjourned its regular session shortly after these approvals.
