Potter County commissioners approve proclamations, contracts and Early Intervention rate increases; table one MOU

David Hyde, director of the nonprofit A Way Out, attended for a proclamation recognizing Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April 2026. Hyde emphasized the need for cross-agency collaboration to support victims and reduce stigma and provided A Way Out’s 24-hour crisis line at 814-274-0240. The board voted to adopt the proclamation; Commissioners Robert Rossman, Nancy Grupp and Paul Heimel voted yes.
Representatives of local libraries joined the meeting for a proclamation marking National Library Week, April 19–25, 2026. Leslie Wishard, Potter-Tioga Library System Administrator, and Teri McDowell, director of the Coudersport Public Library, said the annual recognition highlights rural library services including internet access and staffed assistance.
