Vision Government Solutions tells Potter County reassessment training has begun; data collection expected to take about 12 months

Nick Angiolieri of Vision Government Solutions updated the Potter County Commissioners on the status of the countywide property reassessment at the April 16 meeting, saying training has begun and fieldwork is underway and that the data-collection phase is expected to take approximately 12 months.

Angiolieri described the outreach and review steps that will follow data collection: taxpayers will get opportunities to review, verify, and request changes through informal and formal review processes. He said municipal officials will receive notifications and may request company attendance at local meetings with at least two weeks' notice; he also described coordination with state police and local law enforcement "as needed" and noted staff support through office availability, one-on-one discussions, social media outreach, and participation in community events.

The presenter emphasized the process was still in early stages and had not yet fully begun in all areas of the county. The commissioners recorded the update on the meeting agenda; no formal vote was required for the presentation portion of the meeting.
