Fox Board of Education sets classroom limits, approves Summer EBT MOU, student trip and two cheer stipends

The Fox Board of Education of Fox School District I‑74 met Dec. 16, 2025, at the superintendent’s office and approved several routine administrative measures and program actions.
President Joey Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and roll was taken. Clerk Stacie Fletcher moved, and member Carolyn McConnell seconded, approval of the consent agenda including the minutes of the Nov. 20, 2025 regular meeting; the motion passed with Fletcher, McConnell, Vice‑President Otto Young and President Rodriguez voting aye and member Twanna Owens recorded as absent.
The board approved establishing district classroom capacity at 25 students for each grade level and site, with the exception of the three‑year‑old program, which the board set at a limit of 10 students. The capacity motion was adopted as part of the consent actions recorded in the minutes.
Trustees also approved a memorandum of understanding with the Division of Nutrition Services, Department of Health, Chickasaw Nation to participate in the Summer EBT program. The MOU was listed on the consent agenda and approved by the same aye/absent vote pattern.
In routine finance actions, the board voted to file the activity fund financial report and the district financial report for audit. The board also approved filing purchase orders, payroll purchase order ranges and payments for audit across funds; the minutes list the following ranges and items: General Fund P.O.'s 122–127; General Fund payroll P.O.'s 50000–50046; General Fund payments 365–499; Building Fund P.O.'s 34–39; Building Fund payments 64–76; Municipal Tax Levy P.O.'s 25036–25040; Municipal Tax Levy payments 23–26.
No action was taken on agenda items #9, #10 or #11; the minutes state those items were not acted on during the meeting.
The board authorized a student trip for eligible 9th–12th grade students. President Rodriguez moved and Stacie Fletcher seconded approval for Mr. Yelton to take eligible high school students to Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, for the annual Physics Day on April 24, 2026. The transcript names Mr. Yelton but does not specify his role.
President Rodriguez moved and the board approved two $1,000 cheerleading stipends, one for Ladonna Peal and one for Jenny Young; both stipend motions carried with Fletcher, McConnell, Young and Rodriguez voting aye and Owens absent.
A motion to adjourn was made by President Rodriguez, seconded by Carolyn McConnell, and the meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m.
