Jackson Transportation Group: Approved to provide NET services countywide at a rate of $4.15 per eligible passenger mile, calculated portal‑to‑portal. The contract period runs Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2026. The motion to approve was made per the recommendation of DJFS Director Faye Williamson and carried on roll call.
3 C Cab Company: Approved with a tiered pricing schedule — a $10 minimum for 1–5 miles; $1.90 per mile for 6–15 miles; $1.85 per mile for 16–25 miles; $1.80 per mile for 26+ miles; a $2.00 pickup fee for trips over 6 miles; and an in‑county $10 trip minimum. Wait‑time rules were specified (first hour free, $13/hour thereafter billed in 15‑minute increments) with no wait charges for in‑county runs. Contract period: Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026.
Fayette County Community Action Commission: Approved to provide NET with rates of $5.00 per eligible passenger mile for out‑of‑county trips; in‑county trip rates of $35.00 outside city limits and $25.00 within city limits. Contract period: Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026.
Memorandum of Understanding — Visitation and Exchange Center: The board approved a one‑year MOU (renewable annually) allowing DJFS exclusive use of property located at 224 North Main Street for visitation/exchange services. The MOU assigns interior maintenance and utilities responsibility for telephone/internet to DJFS, while the Board of Commissioners retains responsibility for exterior structural repairs and core utilities (electric, gas, water, sewer). The agreement includes standard insurance, indemnity and termination provisions and requires DJFS to maintain premises in clean condition; it allows termination by either party under specified conditions.
All three NET contracts and the MOU were approved on roll call with Commissioners Anderson, Garland and Fleak voting aye. The meeting minutes record the contract terms and MOU provisions but do not include actual executed contract documents in the minutes themselves.
