Fairfield council notes recycling dates, approves invoices and moves regular meeting to 6:30 p.m.

At its April 1 meeting the Borough Council handled several routine administrative items. Council approved payment of a Battersby Law invoice for $187.50 (from retainer) and a Barley & Snyder invoice for $2,575 for professional services related to the recent Zoning Hearing; the motion was made by Councilor Phyllis Gilbert, seconded by Councilor Pat Pileggi, and approved by unanimous acclamation.
Council confirmed Covered Device Recycling dates of Saturday, April 25 and Saturday, October 24 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Borough also noted a successful first American 250PA paint/craft night and scheduled the next event for June 16.
In New Business, Council voted to change the time of the regular Council meeting on the first Wednesday of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (motion by Camille Cline; seconded by Jordan Sites). Council also agreed to purchase two of the less expensive pet‑waste signs and five of the higher‑priced signs for posting around town; Councilor Jordan Sites suggested installing some signs on traffic signposts.
The next regular meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 5:27 p.m.
