Fayette County commissioners approve bills, budget transfers and appropriations

At its Oct. 13, 2025 meeting the Fayette County Board of Commissioners approved routine fiscal business, including payment of the bills on the register, multiple appropriation modifications, a transfer of $58,160.65 to SIB Bluegrass Boulevard Phase II debt service and new appropriations for debt payments and county unemployment.
Commissioner Fleak moved and Commissioner Garland seconded finance motions recorded in the minutes: an appropriation modification moving $12,000 into Commission on Aging health insurance; transfers moving $58,160.65 from the Honda TIF to SIB Bluegrass Boulevard Phase II debt service; and appropriations including $34,024.12 principal and $24,136.53 interest payments for SIB Bluegrass Boulevard Phase II debt service and $5,785.05 for county unemployment. Additional appropriations approved included $35,000 for Courthouse and Jail salaries and $50,000 to OneOhio Opioid other expense. All motions carried on unanimous roll call votes.
The board also formally accepted Amended Official Certificate of Estimated Resources #7 from the Fayette County Budget Commission, accepting updated revenue estimates into the county’s fiscal records. The meeting minutes list numerous vendor payments in the bills register, including large-line items for consulting and project contractors; the minutes present invoice line items but do not state an overall single total for the register.
All recorded motions in this package were adopted unanimously.
