Columbiana County commissioners approve minutes, Then & Now bills, appropriations and adopt surplus-property resolution

At its Aug. 27 meeting, the Columbiana County Board of Commissioners carried several routine but administrative actions by unanimous vote.

Commissioner Paparodis moved and Commissioner Ginter seconded to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting; the motion carried with Commissioners Paparodis, Ginter and Halleck voting aye.

The board approved Then & Now bills covering multiple departments and vendors, including Connected Technologies ($1,003.59), Stanley Steemer ($12,196.00), Sitler The Printer ($2,537.03), Douglas Bettis ($2,284.00), Carbon Limestone Landfill ($1,739.44) and Neptune Equipment ($1,000.00). Commissioners Ginter and Paparodis voted in favor; the motion carried.

The board accepted an Amended Official Certificate dated Aug. 27, 2025, from the Office of Budget Commission and approved appropriations listed in the certificate, including (but not limited to) certifications P11-P11 $14,497.00 and Y98-Y98 $21,907.87 and appropriations A00-C01-E-0010 $33,000.00 and I02-I02-E-0002 $105,000.00. The certificate and appropriation list were accepted as presented; no discussion was recorded.

The board adopted Resolution #41-2025 to dispose of personal property the county no longer needs and permitted the sale of a county-owned vehicle to a buyer with credit against a new purchase; the motion was moved by Commissioner Ginter and seconded by Commissioner Paparodis and passed unanimously.

The meeting proceeded without additional public discussion on these items and was then adjourned by Commissioner Halleck.
