The appointment was included in the personnel items under the consent agenda and was adopted by voice vote. The mayor told the chamber, “I just wanted to point out in personnel items, that tonight buried in the personnel items is the official hiring of Holly Mulholland as Eagan's next, fire chief.”
The mayor congratulated Mulholland and noted a swearing-in date: “We'll actually be officially swearing Holly in, I believe, in May 19.” The mayor also acknowledged that “TJ” was present to support Mulholland. The consent agenda containing the personnel item was moved and seconded and the council adopted it by voice vote.
There were no separate public hearings, ordinances, or contested items tied to the hire during the meeting. Councilmember Hanson was noted as absent for the session. The meeting closed after brief administrative reports and council comments about upcoming Public Works Month.
