Contractor reports progress at Madison Middle, Waco Elementary and geothermal well-field work

Jonathan Smith of Branscum Construction updated the board on major site work across the district, saying multiple projects are advancing toward summer milestones.
At Madison Middle he said final punch-list work and commissioning for HVAC and electrical systems are complete or nearly complete. Waco Elementary is progressing with block and gym joist work; Smith said crews set the last slab board in the kitchen area and will begin setting steel the following day. He reported that some areas around campus remain to be finished and said crews will continue through the summer.
Smith also described a district-wide geothermal well-field project covering several elementary schools: loops have been tied together, four circuits are active and drilling is underway at Whitehall where 48 wells are planned and 10 have been drilled so far. He said work will ramp up over the summer when schools are out.
Smith said Foley and Madison Southern phases are advancing and that some areas will be turned over to the district next week. He closed by offering to provide photo updates and progress sheets to the board.
What happens next: contractors will continue summer sequencing and the district expects phased turnover of completed areas; facilities staff will monitor punch lists and commissioning.
